Introduction
Thusega has been accredited by the Services Seta as a provider of quality education with accreditation number 9749). All our Skills Programme and Qualifications are accredited by the respective SETAS. This means that learners completing them receive certificates offered by the SETA. Our training services include full courses, short skills programmes, workshops and seminars. Thusega operates from its Centre for Entrepreneur and Leader Development (T-CELD).
Thusega develops its learners holistically through its “Triple H Philosophy of Education.” Our goal is to develop the learners not only on one or the other but in all the following three areas:
- HEAD (Academic Excellence).
- HEART (Life Skills and Character Development).
- HAND (Vocational and Technical Mastery).
Full Courses (Learnership)
Thusega Learnership are 12 month practical and theoretical training programme. 70% of the Learnership is based on the practical component and 30% on the theoretical component. Thusega currently offers the following qualifications:
a. Background to Learnership
An entrepreneur would need certain resources to start a business venture or to realize a business opportunity, either inside or outside the business. The most important resources for the entrepreneurial venture are the people involved in starting up and running that venture.
This Learnership is mainly directed at guiding and giving advice to entrepreneurs about the best route to commercialization (trading) and using their expertise, experience and networking to establish the ventures and to achieve operational (working) success. The training is unit standard based and directed on how to execute efforts, demonstrating that ability in the real world.
b. Benefits of Learnership
In business, ability and competency are keys to prosperity. So whether you are:
- A student who intends to embark on an entrepreneurial activity.
- An unemployed person who wants to become self-supporting.
- A person who is currently employed but might be retrenched.
- A person who feels constrained by his current job situation and wishes to “do it on his own.”

Early Childhood Development (ECD) is a priority area within the South African context and is supported by legislation, national policies and strategies. The development of babies, toddlers and young children forms the most critical foundation of further development into childhood and adulthood. There is thus a vast need for ECD services, and it is critical that the field should be served by competent practitioners.
b. Benefits of Learnership
